Situated in the Caranavi province of Bolivia's La Paz Department lies Antonio Mamani's distinguished coffee farm, Finca El Mirador. The farm is blessed with the region's fertile soil, favourable climate and high elevations between 1550 to 1650 meters above sea level. Antonio is recognised for his exceptional varieties like Geisha and Pacamara, among others.
The Mamani family's dedication to quality and sustainable farming practices has positioned the farm as a noteworthy producer within the coffee industry in Bolivia. This is on top of the farm's commitment to excellence, which has a positive impact on the region's reputation for high-quality coffee production. A common processing method among smallholders Bolivia, this coffee has undergone the natural processing method, where the coffee is sorted and then dried for 15 to 20 days at the farm level.
This is our first purchase of a Bolivian natural processed Geisha, with this lot cupping slightly different, find a more jammy vanilla sweetness in comparison to the usual jasmine florals expected from a geisha varietal.
The first sip opens with a soft vanilla sweetness that is tailed by a burst of juicy raspberry notes, all encompassed in a syrupy and rich texture. A vibrant tropical fruit note is also present, like the flavours of kiwi dancing across your palate.
Recommended to rest beans for 7-10 days from roast date before consuming.
