Fazenda Lagoa comes from Camacho in Campo das Vertentes, Minas Gerais, and is produced by Amilton Lopes da Silva and his family. Amilton began working with coffee at 15 before eventually establishing the farm with just 1,000 seedlings.
This lot won 4th place in the Best San Cup 2025's Fermented category.
Best San Cup was created by Sancoffee to encourage producers to place greater focus on cup quality. For many smaller producers, volume has traditionally been the priority. The competition gives producers a clearer incentive to invest in quality by giving their best lots greater recognition and access to international buyers.
Alchemist has supported the competition since its beginning because we value the way it recognises producers who are putting greater focus on quality and gives their work a wider platform.
The Yellow Catucaí cherries were harvested at peak ripeness, then aerobically fermented with activated yeast and dried over 15 days.
In the cup, expect red nectarine and raisin over a smooth, rounded body, finishing with roasted hazelnut and milk chocolate.
Recommended to rest beans for 7-10 days from roast date before consuming.
