High in the mountains of Ixhuatlán del Café, Veracruz, Finca Regina was established in 2018 by Doris Teresita Escamilla Romero and her husband, and named after their daughter. At 1,580 metres above sea level, under native shade trees, Geisha and Obata cherries are selectively handpicked at peak ripeness, then carefully fermented and slowly dried to preserve their natural character. The farm’s commitment to agroforestry and environmental stewardship reflects a long view of coffee cultivation, one rooted in care for both land and future generations.
In 2025, this lot placed #8 in the Mexico Cup of Excellence and was secured through the global auction with the support of our long-term partner, Mercanta. Recognition at this level signals exceptional quality, but what held our attention was its composure.
The cup opens with soft magnolia and white florals. Fresh grape and red apple follow, carried by a silky, lightly syrupy texture. The acidity is juicy and rounded, giving lift without sharpness. As the coffee cools, sweetness deepens toward raisin, with muscat grape and a gentle peach note adding quiet layers.
An award-winning natural that feels assured and expressive, yet entirely approachable.
Recommended to rest beans for 7-10 days from roast date before consuming.
