There’s a distinct character we’ve come to recognise in coffees from Café Granja La Esperanza: fruit that leans deeper, more wine-like, yet held with precision.
La Esperanza reflects that identity clearly. Grown in Valle del Cauca and naturally processed, this Geisha carries a vivid floral opening that moves into grape-like acidity and dark cherry sweetness, finishing with a soft citrus lift as the cup cools.
The Herrera family has spent decades refining both varietals and processing, building a reputation for coffees that are expressive yet composed. At La Esperanza, this is evident not only in the cup, but in the way each step is intentional, from fermentation through to drying, allowing the coffee to develop depth without losing definition.
We’ve followed their work for years, and after visiting their farms, that understanding has only deepened. This lot stood out for its clarity and structure within a more fruit-driven profile, something that feels both familiar to the producer’s style, and distinctive in its own right.
A coffee shaped by experience, and one that continues to reveal itself as it cools.
Recommended to rest beans for 7-10 days from roast date before consuming.
