Whether you’re one to quietly indulge, to linger in conversation with us, or simply to grab a coffee along the way, these small interactions have come to shape what Alchemist means today.
Bringing together an experiential coffee bar powered by our Ready to Brew series and a curated exhibition space, the pop-up traces our craft through coffee, people, spaces and the daily rituals that continue to define us.
Throughout the duration of the pop-up, we’ll be hosting interactive programs, from hands-on workshops to screenings of our 10th anniversary documentary, alongside a reimagined coffee experience serving the same familiar menu you’ll find across all our stores.
Centred around our anniversary coffee selection, this workshop presents a curated tasting menu that explores each coffee's various expressions.
Participants will discover why these three coffees were chosen and how each represents a different perspective within Alchemist’s journey. Rather than experiencing them solely as brewed coffee, the session reinterprets each selection through a different beverage format, revealing new dimensions of flavour, texture, and character.
Through storytelling and tasting, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the coffees, the thinking behind their selection, and how different approaches can shape the way coffee is experienced. Participants will also receive a bag of coffee to take home.
1st session: 13:00-14:00
2nd session: 15:00-16:00
These sessions will be led by our Head of Learning & Development, Alistair, and our Director of Coffee, Wei Kiat.
This brewing workshop guides participants through the journey of a barista, from curiosity to understanding, and into intentional brewing.
We begin with how we taste and calibrate, building awareness of flavour and structure. From there, we explore the fundamentals of brewing, and how each variable shapes the cup. By the end, participants brew with greater clarity, making decisions with purpose and confidence. Participants will receive a bag of coffee to take home.
1st session: 09:00-10:30
2nd session: 11:00-12:30
These sessions will be led by our senior leading baristas, Aloysius and Esther.
