Ten years have passed more quickly than we imagined. Even now, it still feels like we are in our first year. If you look closely at Alchemist today, much of what shaped us at the beginning remains unchanged.

We still spend our days paying attention to the smallest details in coffee. Adjusting, refining, tasting, and questioning the work, cup after cup. We still believe coffee is made meaningful through everyday interactions. Quiet conversations across the counter. Familiar routines shared between baristas and customers. Moments where coffee simply becomes part of someone’s day.

We also give people space to enjoy coffee however they want to. Sometimes that means stepping forward to share our knowledge. Other times, it means not intruding into the quiet moments people have with coffee.

As we celebrate our tenth anniversary, we’re reminded that the most important part of Alchemist has never been the stores or the coffee alone, but the people who return to them every day.

Hearing what you have to say continues to keep us improving. Even after ten years, Alchemist is still a work in progress. There is always more to refine, more to learn, and more care to bring into the work.

We are deeply thankful for all the support we’ve received throughout the years. Thank you for making Alchemist part of your routines and your daily lives. It is humbling to still see familiar faces who have been with us since the beginning, continuing to return to us today.

Coffee has a way of bringing people together, and many of the interactions that shaped Alchemist began over a simple cup of coffee. In many ways, that is what continues to make Alchemist what it is today.
