To mark a decade of Alchemist, we're hosting a pop-up at Arab Street – bringing together an experiential coffee bar, a curated exhibition, and a documentary that traces our craft through coffee, people, spaces and the daily rituals that continue to define us.
Built from reclaimed timber and recycled coffee waste, Alchemist Kyobashi reflects a continued use of what already exists. These elements are reassembled carefully, softened with plants that shift with time.
Together with living elements, the space is designed to evolve through daily use.
Set within a traditional Japanese-style house in Taipei’s Da’an district, the space keeps the original architecture at the forefront while introducing simple, contemporary elements that fit naturally within it. The design aims to respect the history of the house and create a comfortable place to enjoy coffee without overpowering what’s already there.
